When you see a cat which is majestic and extraordinary looking you should know that you are looking at a full-blooded Persian cat. These cats have muscular bodies and brawny legs with a face which looks punched. They thrive on attention from you if you are a cat lover and also from people who do not like cats.
The Persian breed of cats is again divided on the basis of some of their characteristics. When you check them closely you will find that there are subtle differences in the color of their body hair. There are some remarkably different features which make the Chinchilla breed stand out.
The Persian cats were beginning to be exported to USA in’08 when the Chinchilla Cats Club was founded. If you have to identify and value whether a cat is a Pedigree Chinchilla cat or not and distinguish it from others, you have to examine its coat as that is the only way by which you will be able to make out the difference. The color of the body hair has distinctions which would show the difference. A pure breed black coated Chinchilla will have only1/7 of its body hair as black.
In general a Chinchilla Persian cat has an undercoat of pure white and the fur on the back, head, tail and flanks is tipped black that gives off a characteristic of a sparkling silver coat. The legs of these cats can at times be slightly speckled with black tips whereas the chin, ear tuffs, chest and stomach are always pure white.
The main appealing characteristic about these cats is the darkened rim of the eyes that would make you believe them as wearing eye makeup. Also the lips and nose are outlined black.
The tips of the cats coat are not always black as it is evident from Silver Shaded cats. You can see incredible variety of colors ranging from blue to lilac to chocolate. The Silver Shaded has more shadowing in their coats when you compare them to Chinchilla. It is a pleasure to picture the wonderful outcome of these colors on the coat.
Some cats have a multiple colored under coat which has amazing result as far as their coat is concerned and are called Golden Shaded which look absolutely stunning to the eye. Another great breed is the Cameo Persian cat which has got some red tips on their coat.
All these cats are known for their beautiful dark rimmed eyes, nose and mouth, except for the Golden shaded whose eyes and nose is outlined in brown in place of black. The eye color of these cats is mainly supposed to be green or blue-green. This established characteristic in all Chinchilla, Golden Shaded, Silver Shaded and Cameo Persian cats helps to distinguish the pedigree because a pure-bred cats eye color will be either green or blue-green.
